Director Freeman is a devoted Lorain County community member. Her entire professional career has been within the county. She is well known for her ability to advocate for the families she represents. 

She is the proud mother of four boys and is raising them here in the county. She is often seen at Lakeview Beach, Elyria Catholic sporting events, and spending time with her family! 

Yacylin Velazquez

Fiscal Administrator 

Yacylin has worked in the finance department with the Children and Family First Council since November 2017, prior to that she worked at the Justice Center as a deputy clerk. 

Yacylin reports that "Children and Family First Council has taught me many things, but one of them is the dedication and passion my colleagues have while working with families helping them to get the resources that they need. Hearing their success stories is a wonderful thing."  

Yacylin's job is to manage the accounts and payments. As well as administrative tasks within the department. She enjoys being in the community for events and learning how she can more efficiently improve systems to better the agency. Yacylin holds a Bachelor's degree in Administration and Finance and is Bi Lingual.

Hello! My name is Kristen Estep. I’ve been a social worker for 12 years specializing in Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice. I’m excited to be part of the Lorain County Children and Family First Council as a Family Services Coordinator.
